When Lisa contacted me almost 6 months ago for their wedding photography, we talked on the phone for over an hour! It was one of those conversations you’d have with a friend you’ve known since childhood. I’ve never really met a stranger, but Lisa and I just clicked and I am so excited we did!
Planning their engagement session around Lee’s work schedule was fun! We had initially planned for a December date, but between weather and his schedule, we had to move it to March 3rd. This actually worked out because we were going to an almond orchard where the trees are in full bloom!! I don’t know about you, but those blooms are some of my favorites and it would have looked like something out of a fairytale! However, as the date approached, the typical Bay Area winter rainy season was in full swing, which threatened to have us either reschedule (again) or change locations to somewhere with a tad be more cover! We were in contact the whole week about weather and possibly making back-up plans. The day of their session, the part of the almond orchard we would have been allowed to use was flooded, so we ended up doing their entire engagement session at Andrews Park in downtown Vacaville, and it did NOT disappoint!
Lisa & Lee have been together for almost 14 years and the love and joy that these two share is so evident! The laughter at their session was non-stop! I wish I could share all of their images with you, but if I did that, you’d be here all day!!
Side note: Just so y’all know…Lee did this whole session on just 2 hours of sleep! I am so proud of him!!!
Normally, I wouldn’t blog a photo of Lee bending down like this, but he was such a trooper this whole time!!
So much laughter! I love it!! AAAH!
I am a total sucker for Sapphires in engagement rings!
I could have taken pictures of them dancing like this for hours! It was so fun to watch!! I cannot wait for their First Dance in September!!!!
