This blog post is a day later than I had originally intended, but sometimes life happens that causes things to run a bit behind! That was almost the case with Kevan & Mara Lea’s engagement session. Since she was only going to be here for a couple of days, rescheduling their session due to the weather would NOT have been an option. I am so thankful that the rain held off! The sun even peeked out from behind the close just long enough for some of the most beautiful portraits in the rolling hills right here on base!!
Part of the process for engagement sessions, is finding the location options. We knew there were some amazing locations on base, but the second location was still a bit in the air. We had initially looked at going to Crane Creek Park about 30 minutes from the base, but Mara Lea had sent a photo of this gorgeous tree-lined lane. I am sooo glad that she did! It was beautiful! As we were driving back to Kevan’s house so they could change into their more casual outfit, (because who wants to stay dressed in uniform longer than they have to?) we drove past this home with a horse pasture lined with a white fence! I immediately knew we had to find a way to use that fence…and we did! My photographer’s heart was soooooo happy!
So, I’ll let you get to it!
Cheers,
Kristen
