Every photographer thinks that they have the best couples, but I really do! If you’re new here, you may not know, but I always make sure that my clients are the perfect fit for my personality and style. I was on the phone with Janel & her mom for over an hour the first time we talked and it was like we’d known each other forever! It’s not all that often that I get to bond with the bride AND her mom, but that’s how this relationship is! I am so LUCKY to have the very best couples who become friends!

When we first started planning Janel & Justin’s engagement session, one of the things we knew, for sure, is that we would be including Matches, their horse, and both of their dogs! The rest was figuring out when it was going to stop raining so we could actually plan the date and location…Sunday night was perfect! We had hills, a creek bed, oak trees, and the most amazing glowing light. The only thing that I think we all could have done without was Justin having to kill a rattle snake! I’m just thankful that I didn’t see it at first, because I probably would have made a fool of myself from being so scared! I’m so thankful for Janel’s mom checking my bag to make sure that one didn’t crawl in while we were off shooting with the horse! haha! But, on a more serious note, the entire session was just so much fun and absolutely beautiful! I am so lucky that I get be such a small part of this special season in their lives and I am even more excited for their upcoming wedding in September!

Enjoy some of my FAVORITE images from their session!!

That’s a wrap! Stay tuned for their September wedding! 😀

Cheers!

~Kristen
