I have been so lucky since moving to the Bay Area to get to meet with some of the most amazing couples! I love the connections that are made, and Sam was no different! She and I were on the phone for close to an hour the first time we talked and hearing all about how Cameron proposed was so sweet!! I mean, what’s more perfect than going on a cruise and being asked to marry your best friend during sunset?! Exactly!!

Okay…Let’s talk about this whole weather thing that keeps happening! I swear mother nature thinks it’s quite entertaining to watch me sweat out whether or not it’s going to rain during engagement sessions. There was absolutely no rain on the radar as of Wednesday for Saturday. However, Friday night showed impending doom for Yosemite & Bass Lake during our estimated time of session, complete with lightening & thunder. Sam & I were texting Friday night ready to come up with a game plan for sheltered areas so we don’t have to try to reschedule their session. The best thing is that while it did pour during my & Mason’s visit to Yosemite for the first time ever, AND again just 20 minutes before they showed up, the rain held off the rest of the evening!! On the one hand, we were all prepared with umbrellas, but I’m so glad that the weather decided to cooperate, because the scenery of Bass Lake did NOT disappoint! It’s easily one of the most beautiful places we’ve visited!!!

As I mentioned, Sam & Cameron have hectic schedules, which is kind of an understatement. Sam is in the process of finishing school for psychology and is currently working on her dissertation and Cameron is working towards becoming one of our police officers in the Bay Area! As if these two aren’t ambitious enough, they’ve also been training for the Bass Lake Triathlon. One may also call them overachievers seeing as how they were up before the crack of dawn, Saturday morning to rock the triathlon AND their engagement session!

So, without further delay, here are my favorites from their session!

Cheers!

~Kristen
