Bonnie & Will are expecting their first baby, a boy. What better way is there than to celebrate with once-in-a-lifetime maternity portraits in Oahu? It’s not a secret that Bellows is my favorite beach. It encompasses everything one can think of when it comes to a typical “Hawaiian Beach.” Stretches of long sand with unbelievable teal waters and mountains in the background. It truly is paradise. I’m not biased or anything, so imagine my excitement when I got the email from Bonnie and Will saying that this is the location they selected!
Bonnie & Will are from the Bay Area, so you know I was already excited to work with them. With both kids being born in Berkeley, that area holds such a special place in my heart. Sharing this small piece of Oahu with them is something that I’ll forever be grateful for. We talked about all of the best places for ice cream, huli huli chicken, and malasadas. I’m not a foodie so to speak, so you know if I have recommendations for these places, it has to be good!
When you are looking for maternity portraits, especially on Oahu, one thing that often comes up is what to wear for the beach. Of course I provide a style guide to all of my clients and you know I’ll be the first to tell you that outfits can make or break your photos. Will & Bonnie showed up wearing these amazing outfits, my heart did a happy dance! The thought and preparation that went into making sure they coordinated perfectly paid off.
