Janel & Justin | A Cobble Creek Ranch Wedding

I saw the Facebook updates starting 10 days out from the wedding! The countdown was officially on! They were setting up at the venue all week in preparation for Justin & Janel’s rustic chic wedding at Diamond Dust Ranch in Hopland, and it was nothing short of spectacular! the weather, the glowing sunlight through the oak tree, the florals, and decor…Sheli, the mother of the bride, Janel, & Debbie blew everyone away!!

Saturday morning started with a brief tour of the venue before heading to the home where Janel and her bridesmaids were getting ready. This is not typically something I’m able to do, but I’m so glad that we made time for this. The ceremony was set up underneath an oak tree with the sun shining through the leaves, creating the most amazing backdrop! The reception was set with florals, all arranged by the bride and her family! The cake table is probably my favorite spot from the reception! Everything was set up just beautifully and carefully curated to match their rustic chic wedding day! All of the details were so carefully thought out, planned, and placed just perfectly!! So, be prepared for a lot of details in the blog post!!

When Brandi & I arrived to the house, Janel was sitting in front of a large wall of windows overlooking one of the most beautiful views of Ukiah’s valley and hills while having her hair styled. We walked in, and were greeted by hugs and excitement for Janel & Justin! The whole room was filled with joy and laughter, and music…some playing from the speaker, and some that we started singing a cappella! It always says a lot about the couple when you can have this much fun before the party has really begun!!

Janel & Justin chose to keep their ceremony traditional, and instead read excerpts of their vows in a recording just for their wedding video, which I am so impatiently waiting to see! The most memorable moment from their day was seeing the raw emotion of Justin as he saw Janel walking toward him for the first time. I’m pretty sure his reaction made almost everyone in attendance tear up, yours truly included. You know, sometimes it hits me just how important my job is, and Saturday was one of those days. Janel & Justin are going to look back at these images in 10, 25, and 60 years from now and be reminded of memories just like this! I love this sweet couple so much, and I am so honored that they allowed me to be there to celebrate along side them.

Followed by dinner & toasts!!

First dance under the light sabers made for such a unique and fun way to celebrate!

I have a slight obsession with popcorn, so this spoke to my soul!

And you gotta love when people know how to party! Janel & Justin, your DJ was seriously amazing!
