I haven’t figured out how to explain this session and how it came to be. Lauren & Ryan had originally hired another photographer local to Oahu for their beach family photos. Things changed at the last minute when a positive covid test came into the mix. In typical “aloha” spirit, we came together as a community to make sure this family could still have a stress-free portrait experience on their vacation.
When Lauren & Ryan arrived with their family, it was instant connection. Their daughter, Tabitha, had such an infections personality. She was so excited when the time came and she got to “pose” and snap “portraits” of mom & dad! This is just one of the many ways I try to connect with your kiddos during our time together. Their son, Tate, is obsessed with the sand! Seeing him play and explore the different textures of the sand allowed us to capture that sense of wonder. As a mom, some of my favorite images are of just the kids being unapologetically themselves. Whether it’s letting the kids meltdown during their first haircut or playing tag on the beach. I let kids lead the way our time is spent during your session. This creates for a much more enjoyable experience.
