I had the honor of traveling back to the mainland for a wedding in Nashville. Nestled in the rolling hills about 90 minutes outside of Nashville sits an open air rustic white chapel. The view is spectacular as it overlooks a creek, hills, and the most beautiful trees. The venue, is Five Star Retreat, and its name can speak for itself. This venue is certainly the right place for relaxation and escaping to your own little paradise away from reality.

In Brin’na and Drew’s case, Five Star Retreat is where their paradise begins. The entire resort rented out for their closest friends, family, and even vendors (heeeeey!!!) to mingle safely before the big day. I wish I could put into words how serene the area was. I’m not sure I’ll be able to do it justice, so the photos of their wedding will have to suffice.

The day I landed in Nashville and arrived at Five Star, Brin’na and Drew were playing the most epic game of beer pong. You guys, I grew up with a version of this game, and honestly, had no idea that others existed, but holy moly it was so much fun! I have never seen cups of beer flying across the tables and being tossed off to the side like that, but watching them play was an experience in itself. The laughter, the taunting, the cheering; it’s exactly what you expect from friends you’ve known for a lifetime.

The next morning, we wake up to the smell of omlets and coffee. With full bellies, it’s time to start the day. The level of planning, creativity and personal touches to this wedding day is never-ending. I think my favorite part of the day has to be the gift from Brin’na’s parents. This gift is almost 30 years in the making. Her parents split up when she was little and made a necklace out of the melted bands and diamonds. I am in tears all over again remembering this sweet moment from their day. If you can keep it together when you see the images, I’ll be shocked!

I don’t think I have had a post with this many images in a long time. Enjoy a small handful of my favorite images from their big day!
