One of the best parts of being an engagement photographer in the Bay Area is getting to meet incredible couples like Diana and Evan. From the moment we first talked, I knew their session would be something special. Their wedding is planned for Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, and they were excited to share all the fun details with me – from Evan’s tie colors to their mutual love of pickleball. We clicked instantly!

At the same time, Sean and I were waiting to hear if we’d be moving due to military orders. It was a stressful time, but Diana and Evan were so patient and kind while we waited for news. When we found out we’d be relocating to Hawaii, we had a bittersweet conversation about continuing their engagement session. They were incredibly understanding, and I was so honored when they asked me to still capture this special time for them.

We set the date, planned out the location, and picked outfits that would work perfectly for their spring engagement session. Then the world changed, and like many other couples, Diana and Evan faced canceled events, including their company party, due to the pandemic. Even with the uncertainty, they were determined to go ahead with the session.

Diana’s energy was contagious – her laugh would light up anyone’s day, and Evan’s face softened every time she smiled. They were such good sports as we explored different spots around the base, capturing their connection in a setting that felt meaningful to them. It’s sessions like these that remind me why I love being a Bay Area engagement photographer – getting to tell the stories of couples who make each other’s lives a little brighter.
