Planning an engagement session involves juggling numerous details: selecting the perfect location, timing the shoot for optimal light, choosing outfits that complement the setting, and so much more. It’s a process full of considerations to ensure everything comes together beautifully.

When Brooke reached out in response to a post about finding recently engaged couples, I immediately sensed that she and Chris would be a perfect fit for a unique session. Having just relocated from Cincinnati, they were still exploring their new city and had yet to discover spots that felt like “theirs.” We briefly entertained the idea of Lands End, but I’m thrilled that Brooke was enthusiastic about the iconic SF City Hall as our location.

Brooke, with her fashion background, truly wowed us with her choice of a stunning mustard-yellow, flowy dress. Her impeccable taste in fashion was evident, and her outfit harmonized beautifully with the grandeur of City Hall. Whether it was a deliberate choice or a happy coincidence, Brooke’s choice of attire perfectly complemented the venue, adding a touch of elegance to our session.

Despite running about 30 minutes behind schedule due to unforeseen circumstances, Brooke and Chris were remarkable in their ability to quickly adapt and master key poses. Their natural ease in front of the camera allowed us to make the most of the dwindling daylight, capturing a diverse range of images across the stunning SF City Hall backdrop.
