When you plan an engagement session, there are a lot of pieces that come into play. You have to figure out location options, what time of day will be best for said location, where will the sun be, how long will we have light, outfits to plan, which locations will work best with which outfit? So many things to consider.
Brooke responded to a post I had made looking for recently engaged couples, and I just knew that they’d be a perfect fit! Since she & Chris just moved here from Cincinnati, they haven’t quite found any spots to call “theirs.” We briefly played around with the idea of Lands End as well, but City Hall is just amazing and I am so glad she was on board with this location.
As a girl working in fashion, Brooke did not disappoint when she showed up in the most beautiful mustard-yellow, flowy dress I have ever seen. She could not have picked better outfits for the two of them! I mean, she’s in fashion, so you know she has great taste, but she took it a step further and coordinated with our location. Whether or not that was on purpose, or just a happy surprise is a different story. All I know is that, once I saw their outfits, I knew we made the right decision in choosing City Hall as our location.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we were running about 30 minutes behind. But, because Brooke & Chris were such naturals at this, it didn’t take them but just a few minutes to learn and actually master the 4 main poses! This actually saved the day because we were able to work quickly as the light faded behind the city and get a lot of variety in locations and poses!
