Ru’s Farm offers a collection of beautifully varied spaces that come together effortlessly for a wedding day that feels intimate and grounded. The cottages provide a relaxed place to get ready with your closest people, tucked among gardens and vineyard views, while the barn and grounds quietly set the tone for what’s to come.

With several ceremony locations across the property, couples often choose to exchange vows beneath the great oak tree overlooking the vineyards, where the landscape feels open yet private. The setting is simple, natural, and full of character — letting the moment speak for itself.

As you move through the property, portraits unfold naturally among the olive trees, lavender-lined paths, and surrounding hills. As evening arrives, the barn fills with candlelight, music, and movement, creating a space that feels both celebratory and timeless.

By the end of the night, Ru’s Farm becomes more than the place where you were married, it becomes part of the beginning you’ll always return to.

It’s the day of your wedding, and a gentle breeze moves through the olive trees as sunlight dances across the vineyard. At Ru’s Farm, lavender blooms near the cottage, the historic barn anchors the celebration, and guests will gather beneath the trees for dinner. This is the moment it hits you… your wedding day is finally here, and it’s everything you hoped for...and SO much more!

THE PERFECT VENUE

the ceremony

Up to 150 guests gather beneath the cork oak tree overlooking the vineyards as you exchange vows.

the cottages

Lovingly known as The Coop, this on-site cottage anchors the start of the wedding day. Surrounded by lavender and set slightly apart from the main event spaces, it offers couples a private, relaxed place to settle in before guests arrive.

Getting Ready Suite

Inside The Coop, getting ready unfolds at an unhurried pace. Natural light, quiet corners, and space for final touches create a calm environment for dressing, sharing a few laughs, and easing into the day before the ceremony.

cocktail hour

Cocktail hour takes place on the white pea gravel, where lounge furniture and umbrellas create a comfortable gathering space for guests to relax, mingle, and enjoy the property while the evening unfolds.

the historic barn

The celebration continues inside the historic barn, where special dances, cake cutting, and the evening party take place. Warm wood beams and soft lighting create an intimate atmosphere as the night unfolds on the dance floor.

Dinner takes place beneath the trees, where guests gather to enjoy conversation, share a toast to the happy couple, and relax before the celebration continues.

Dinner under the trees

Guests are guided through the olive trees on their way to the ceremony, creating a peaceful transition into the day. This shaded pathway also doubles as a beautiful portrait setting before and after the ceremony.

Ru’s Farm is made up of several distinct outdoor spaces, each contributing to the flow of a wedding day. From the gardens and lawn to the vineyards and barn, each area offers a different backdrop and atmosphere for your guests to explore and enjoy.

A FEW OF MY MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SHOOTING WEDDINGS AT Ru's Farm

FAQ

Ru’s Farm offers two on-site cottages that can be rented for getting ready. The Coop is the larger space and works well for one side of the wedding party, while The Nest is best suited for one or two people at a time. Depending on group size, it may be possible for both partners to get ready on-site, but I often recommend that one party prepare mostly off-site and use the cottage spaces for dressing and final touches to keep the morning relaxed and unhurried.

I typically recommend taking family formals beneath the cork oak tree. While the lighting can be a bit brighter in the background due to the open vineyard views, this location offers the most space and allows everyone to stay together and comfortable. That efficiency is especially important when working through larger family groupings.

If weather or timing requires an alternative, the barn works well as a rain plan, and the entrance area to The Coop can be a great option when time and space allow.

Ru’s Farm provides many of the core essentials needed for the day, including tables and chairs for up to 150 guests, lounge furniture, market umbrellas, heaters, and bistro tables. Guest parking, restrooms, power for a band or DJ, and a dedicated indoor–outdoor catering work area are also included. Any additional décor, styling elements, linens, or upgraded rentals would be brought in through your planner or rental team.

Ru’s Farm allows for a variety of end-of-night moments, but open-flame exits such as sparklers are typically not permitted due to the surrounding vineyard and landscape. Many couples opt for alternatives like glow sticks, ribbon wands, bubbles, or a private last dance to close out the evening.

For couples without a first look, I recommend planning about 60 minutes for portraits. If you choose to see each other beforehand, 90 minutes provides a comfortable amount of time. By spreading portraits between the first look, newlywed moments, and sunset, we can fully utilize the grounds at Ru's Farm and create a varied, relaxed set of images.
