How Much Does a Wedding at Ru's Farm Cost?
A photography note: Your rental includes several hours before the event for getting ready and setup, plus six hours of celebration. Since everything happens on one property, getting-ready photos through the last dance can be covered without any travel time.
Ru’s Farm can seat up to 160 guests for the ceremony under the oak and for dinner under the trees. The barn seats about 150, or 175 standing. With 120 guests or fewer, the property feels relaxed and open. Above that, the dinner area and dance floor start to feel crowded. Keep in mind there’s no full rain plan. The barn can hold the ceremony or the reception, but not both without flipping the space in between. Something to consider for our rain season.

Ru’s Farm offers two on-site cottages that can be rented for getting ready. The Coop is the larger space and works well for one side of the wedding party, while The Nest is best suited for one or two people at a time. Depending on group size, it may be possible for both partners to get ready on-site, but I often recommend that one party prepare mostly off-site and use the cottage spaces for dressing and final touches to keep the morning relaxed and unhurried.
I typically recommend taking family formals beneath the cork oak tree. While the lighting can be a bit brighter in the background due to the open vineyard views, this location offers the most space and allows everyone to stay together and comfortable. That efficiency is especially important when working through larger family groupings.
If weather or timing requires an alternative, the barn works well as a rain plan, and the entrance area to The Coop can be a great option when time and space allow.
Ru’s Farm provides many of the core essentials needed for the day, including tables and chairs for up to 150 guests, lounge furniture, market umbrellas, heaters, and bistro tables. Guest parking, restrooms, power for a band or DJ, and a dedicated indoor–outdoor catering work area are also included. Any additional décor, styling elements, linens, or upgraded rentals would be brought in through your planner or rental team.
Ru’s Farm allows for a variety of end-of-night moments, but open-flame exits such as sparklers are typically not permitted due to the surrounding vineyard and landscape. Many couples opt for alternatives like glow sticks, ribbon wands, bubbles, or a private last dance to close out the evening.
For couples without a first look, I recommend planning about 60 minutes for portraits. If you choose to see each other beforehand, 90 minutes provides a comfortable amount of time. By spreading portraits between the first look, newlywed moments, and sunset, we can fully utilize the grounds at Ru's Farm and create a varied, relaxed set of images.
