Melanie, James, and I met over coffee just over a year ago! I still can’t believe it’s been that long…If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that my husband is active duty military and we moved this business cross-country. It was only by chance that Melanie & James saw my name pop […]

I saw the Facebook updates starting 10 days out from the wedding! The countdown was officially on! They were setting up at the venue all week in preparation for Justin & Janel’s rustic chic wedding at Diamond Dust Ranch in Hopland, and it was nothing short of spectacular! the weather, the glowing sunlight through the […]

Who knew that Lisa asking Lee, through a friend mind you, to her senior prom would land them here 14 years later? I am safely placing a bet that neither of them thought this far ahead, but here we are! When I arrived, Lisa was sitting out on the balcony of the hotel room that […]

When Sam & Derek reached out for their wedding photography, I always ask how they met. Instead of just a small backstory, Sam sent me the link to their wedding site, where they each had their own version of how they met! While Sam’s version was very sweet, Derek’s was told from a fairytale perspective, […]

Wedding dress shopping, at least for me, was one of my favorite parts of my wedding planning process. I had ideas going into the bridal shop of what I wanted, and honestly didn’t expect to choose a dress that same day. Looking back, there are a couple of things I wish I had known and […]

I have been so lucky since moving to the Bay Area to get to meet with some of the most amazing couples! I love the connections that are made, and Sam was no different! She and I were on the phone for close to an hour the first time we talked and hearing all about […]

To say that Justin & Melanie are very special to our family is an understatement! It’s hard to even know where to begin to be honest. From the very beginning of our friendship, Justin supported this dream of mine and ultimately helped me launch this business! It also helps that we share the same birthday! […]

When Lisa contacted me almost 6 months ago for their wedding photography, we talked on the phone for over an hour! It was one of those conversations you’d have with a friend you’ve known since childhood. I’ve never really met a stranger, but Lisa and I just clicked and I am so excited we did! […]

This blog post is a day later than I had originally intended, but sometimes life happens that causes things to run a bit behind! That was almost the case with Kevan & Mara Lea’s engagement session. Since she was only going to be here for a couple of days, rescheduling their session due to the […]

I have a deep love for first looks, but not everyone knows what this is. So, let me explain.. A “first look” is a private moment when the bride and groom see each other for the first time, prior to the ceremony beginning. This usually takes place in a secluded area, sometimes with or without […]

It’s not often I get to do an Aulani mini session because so many of my families choose to travel to a more remote part of the island. But my oh my, am I glad we chose this spot for the sweet Lorenzten family of 5. The lagoon with it’s teal waters, the palm trees, […]

With palm trees lining the long white sandy beaches, teal waters, and a mountain backdrop, Ka’a’a’wa Beach is one of those places that you fall in love with as soon as you see it. I know I did. It’s one of those places that scream “Hawai’i” the moment you see it. Maybe that’s why Lexie […]

When Krissy first reached out to me about their family session, she already knew she wanted to have her family session at Lanikai. This beach is special to them because it’s “their beach!” I love when my clients choose locations that mean something to them. A year ago, it was just the two of them […]

I had the honor of traveling back to the mainland for a wedding in Nashville. Nestled in the rolling hills about 90 minutes outside of Nashville sits an open air rustic white chapel. The view is spectacular as it overlooks a creek, hills, and the most beautiful trees. The venue, is Five Star Retreat, and […]

A month ago Ty reached out to plan the perfect surprise proposal to Tay. As we talked, I learned that Tay’s mom and grandma (from here on out, referred to as “Meme”) are super important to her. When they talked in the past about proposals, she always mentioned the same thing…their families MUST be there. […]

Bonnie & Will are expecting their first baby, a boy. What better way is there than to celebrate with once-in-a-lifetime maternity portraits in Oahu? It’s not a secret that Bellows is my favorite beach. It encompasses everything one can think of when it comes to a typical “Hawaiian Beach.” Stretches of long sand with unbelievable […]

Family, sparkles, pasta, buncha crunch...these are a few of my favorite things
Growing up, I always thought I would be a teacher or nurse, or something along those lines since both of those occupations run deep in my family. But, that all changed when I was unexpectedly left without a photographer just 2 days before my own wedding. I knew right then and there that I would do everything in my power to not let another couple feel that same level of stress. For the past 14 years, I have worked to create an environment that allows my clients to actually enjoy their photography experience!
Follow along on the 'gram for insight into my day to day life, and of course all the gorgeous weddings & families I get to capture!
